Frequently Asked Questions

Where is it? How do I get there?

Seville is accessible by train from Madrid and Barcelona (ave fast train) and has an airport with domestic and international flights. Carmona is 20km from the airport and can be reached by taxi easily. if you only stay for the time of the ceremony or in Seville + Carmona, you don’t need a car.

Where to stay?

We have provided the following recommendations

Alcazar de la Reina: Excellent hotel on top of the old village

El Rincon de las Delcalzas: In the same area as Alcazar, very good and a bit cheaper

Hotel Frente Abastos: Economical choice inside the old village. Great location and good quality/price.

Casa Cantillo: Outside the old village and more economical

Photos?

We have provided an Album so you can share your pictures before or during the event. Please upload your pictures here.

What to bring?

Nothing! Just yourself.

Visits before and after?

We highly recommend you spend more time in Andalucía. Starting with Seville, if you have time try to spend a couple of nights there. You can visit the famous Giralda and Alcazar, Barrio de Santa Cruz. We love to stay in Triana, a very nice neighborhood off the busy center. Especially near the market, where you can eat and buy tapas and local produce. You need to make reservations ahead to visit the main monuments.

If you have time, you can visit Córdoba, Cadiz, Malaga, Granada – all within 2 hours trip by car from Carmona.

Dress Code?

Carla wants to make sure you dress up for the party :). No dress code though.

Why Carmona?

First, because it is a wonderful traditional village with wonderful food, people and monuments. Also, Julien has been travelling to this village since he was 15, and continued to go regularly. And we have been going with the kids on a regular basis with the kids last 19 years.
